Randevmeste
Randevmeste hosts offline speed dating events where singles meet up to 30 potential matches in one evening. Each round lasts 3–4 minutes, allowing meaningful conversations in a fun, relaxed setting. After the event, users can connect through the app to like, match, and chat with mutual connections
Challenge
Tickets were managed through Wix, but it was difficult to track guests during and after the event, and to support features like liking, matching, and chatting. Wix lacked real-time chat, match filtering, and notifications—making engagement challenging for both users and organisers
Solution
We built a custom platform using Bubble to provide a seamless matchmaking experience during and after the event. When someone buys a ticket on Wix, we use an API to get the event and participant details and create them in the Bubble database. Guests can then register using their ticket number, update their profiles, and take part in the event. Real-time features like liking, matching, and messaging were added to help users connect and continue conversations beyond the event.
Design & Development
Event Attendance and Interaction
Only attendees marked as arrived can view and like profiles during the event. When the host starts the “Liking” phase, participants can interact with others' profiles in real time and choose to like or skip. Liking is available only until the host ends the phase. Matches are revealed after the event via email and app notifications.
Matching and Chatting
When two participants like each other during the event, a match is created. Once the liking phase ends, users can view their matches, see profiles of those who liked them, check last online status, and chat in real time. Reporting and blocking features are available for safety.
Registration and Profile Setup
Guests buy tickets on Wix, where their basic information is collected. This info is sent to the app through an API. When they log in with their ticket number, their profile is already filled in. They can update their photo, hobbies, and bio, and also edit their name or age if needed.
The Result
Randevmeste now offers a complete and seamless experience for offline speed dating events. The platform allows attendees to register, interact with profiles during the event, receive real-time match updates, and continue conversations through secure post-event messaging. Organisers have full control— they can mark guests as arrived, manage interaction phases, remove or transfer tickets, and add new participants as needed. This has significantly reduced manual work and made event management more efficient. The platform has enhanced the guest experience, improved match engagement, and helped the Randevmeste team deliver events with greater ease and impact—transforming how modern singles connect.
